We believe that dancers thrive when they are supported as whole individuals—not just as performers. Our competitive program is built on a foundation of balance, commitment, and genuine love for dance.
We value the importance of a well-rounded childhood and encourage our dancers to explore family life, academics, friendships, and other extracurricular activities alongside their training. We believe that these experiences enrich not only the dancer, but the artist.
At the same time, being part of our competitive team comes with a meaningful commitment. Dancers are expected to show up with dedication, respect for their teammates, and a willingness to grow.
We foster an environment where hard work and accountability are balanced with encouragement, kindness, and joy.
We prioritize healthy development over perfection, and progress over pressure. Success in our program is not defined solely by awards, but by confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a lasting passion for dance.
Above all, we strive to create a space where dancers feel inspired, supported, and proud to be part of a community that values both excellence and well-being.
Our competitive program is designed for dancers who are passionate about dance and ready to grow within a supportive, team-focused environment. While we value balance and well-rounded lifestyles, participation in the competitive team does require a meaningful and consistent commitment.
Team Placement & Group Structure
Dancers will be placed into groups based on age and ability to ensure appropriate challenge and growth. Each group will learn two competitive routines, and all competitive dancers will also participate in a large group number, fostering a strong sense of community and teamwork across the entire team.
Solo Opportunities
Solo routines are encouraged but not mandatory. Solos are thoughtfully offered each season, and dancers may choose whether to accept the opportunity. Those who pursue a solo will be fully supported throughout the process.
Summer Training (July & August)
The competitive season begins in the summer months, where dancers will start learning choreography and building a strong foundation for the year ahead.
Group routines will be scheduled on one designated day per week, allowing families to plan ahead and maintain balance during the summer.
For dancers participating in solos or duos, choreography sessions will be scheduled in collaboration with families, offering flexible options that best suit individual summer schedules.
Consistent attendance during summer training is important, as this is when the majority of choreography is introduced and early progress is established.
Regular Season Training (September–Spring)
Competitive dancers are required to train consistently to support their technical growth. This includes:
These classes are taken alongside our recreational dancers, encouraging inclusivity and a strong studio community.
Rehearsals
In addition to weekly classes, competitive dancers will attend Saturday rehearsals (approximately 4 hours) dedicated to choreography, cleaning, and team development.
Performances & Competitions
Throughout the season, dancers will:
This structure allows dancers to pursue their goals in a focused and rewarding way, while still maintaining space for family life, school commitments, and other activities.
